| Re: What comic books/graphic novels are you reading at the moment? Talysia ... the story is exactly the same but it's now in traditional comic book format. Gaiman says there that he wanted it that way. I guess it sort of completes things for the Sandman. I must say, I rather like the very different take artwise. Here is a sample of some of the pages: DreamHunters |

I haven't the mental power at the moment to dedicate myself to a full book at the moment, so I'm picking up Watchmen during free moments. Do love this graphic novel very much. And as the title mentions comics, I'll also say that I'm whizzing through my small book collections of Garfield strips. I just adore that lasagna eating, lazy, sniping cat. |

Maybe 'cause I'm currently reading a collection of Cthulhu Mythos I'm more sensitive to this sort of thing than usual but this team-up between Aquaman and the Demon sure has a Lovecraftian feel to it. From what Stephen King calls the "wrong geometry" that "tortured the eye and hurt the mind, and suggested other dimensions" to tentacled creatures glimpsed writhing from those dimensions "the way an iceberg only shows you ten percent of its mass," it's all here and strongly suggests Mr. Straczynski is a huge admirer of the Bard of Arkham. Very recommended. |

| Re: What comic books/graphic novels are you reading at the moment? Path of the Assassin by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima. Only up to volume 5, so it will take quite a bit of time and investment to get to the end. But it is simply amazing, it also got me interested in Japanes history and politics. Best wishes, Dirk |

| Lady of Autumn | Re: What comic books/graphic novels are you reading at the moment? I finished Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall by Bill Willingham a while back, but forgot to post it here, for some reason. I'm currently rereading Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki Reload, for old times' sake. |

Blog Entries: 15 | Re: What comic books/graphic novels are you reading at the moment? BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL No.44: "Batman Versus The Undead," part one. Batman teams up with a reformed vampire to hunt down a mad scientist hell-bent on using voodoo to reanimate the dead. While not rated for "mature" readers this dark romp through the French Quarter of New Orleans has a couple of truly shocking scenes. Even the cover is unusually gruesome showing you what dreadlocks are really useful for. Written by Kevin Vanhook and drawn by Tom Mandrake who, if I recall correctly, brought us the SUPERMAN AND BATMAN VERSUS VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES mini-series from last year. Part two just came out this week. So far it's worth the time and the money. |

| Re: What comic books/graphic novels are you reading at the moment? X-files/30 Days of Night... I normally don't read comics or Graphic Novels (with the exception of the Dark Tower series), however this mini-series seems too good to miss. Also I am a huge fan of Adam Jones so it's like icing on the cake! |

| Re: What comic books/graphic novels are you reading at the moment? Last one I read was: Amazon.com: Epileptic (9780375423185): David B.: Books This was actually one of the first graphic novels I've ever read by choice. I was blown away. I really love the artwork and the content is interesting. I actually had trouble putting the book down; it actually hurt to stop. The first graphic novel that I read was for school. And I'm extremely glad I was introduced to it. It's amazing. It was Art Spiegelman's MAUS series. Also couldn't put that down. I'm not reading any at the moment, but I am open to suggestions. |
