Re: George has updated!!

As I think I said elsewhere, Voyager's reaction to the news was to put the UK release back to April 6th, 2009. So there we go. A new Lynch and possibly even the second Rothfuss before we get ADWD.

Re: George has updated!!

Anyone know where I could find a copy of the Jon chapter GRRM posted before Tyrion's? I love that one...

I don't think its legal for others to post them, so you'll have to wait until he cycles it back up. That said, I'm sure there's some dark corner of the interwebz hiding it.

I'm new to actually looking for books to read so I'm asking is barnes and noble like amazon where they basically guess when a book amy come out or is this a substantial date?? please dont bash I would just like to know if I should mark this date in my calendar.

Re: George has updated!!

Sorry man. This is from Amazon.co.uk:

"George R R Martin has let us know that he will be later than expected delivering A Dance with Dragons, so we're sorry to say that we've had to postpone publication. Based on the new delivery date, we are very much hoping to be able to publish in Spring 2009. Thanks for your patience!"

They now list April 6, 2009 as the release date. See here.

Re: George has updated!!

Thanks for the info hedrigall.
I jumped on amazon.com to see what they had and they too have the September 30 2008 release. Do you think that is a mistake on my end or that we'd really get it 7 months before you?

Barnes and Noble is just like Amazon where they basically guess the publish date. Both sites have had ADWD available for pre-order for years now with varying dates.

Wert, posted GRRM in Portugal and as you can see at the very beginning that he's still months and months from finishing.

He has not updated, so don't freak out. I was just wondering if anyone besides myself checks GRRM's ASOIAF page 4-5 times per week.

I suspect that if you add up the wordage in all the speculative posts on all the websites on this subject, you'd get something the length of ASoFaI...

And almost as many POVs.

And another connection: GRRM's POV's are rarely in the know (although many of them think they are).

Yep, probably every work day.

And I hate it when this thread gets bumped for no reason.

Re: George has updated!!

Yeah, I agree. No frivolous bumps, this thread is serious business. Take that chitter chatter elsewhere.
