Re: Eddings' villains

Not to worry, Sir Sparhawk. I can see what you mean about Klael's lack of human qualities, though. I guess I'd just liked to have seen him feature earlier in the books, so that he wasn't just sprung on us at the end. Hinted to, perhaps.

Re: Eddings' villains

The best baddie / villan has to be Zalasta. He had endlessly manipulated behind the scenes, created death and destruction in his wake, and no-one was the wiser until that plot device called Xanetia appeared and ruined everything.

belgarath's insight into Torak is weak in comparison to the one done in Polgara the Sorceress
after i read the parts about torak in that book he was my favorite villan
zakath comes next

Zalasta appears in the Tamuli series, although he appears briefly in the Elenium as well.

Re: Eddings' villains

In my opinion Zakath was the villain I loved the most, purely because he was the most realistic, he had feelings, he switched sides and he had a solid reason for being a nasty guy, one that I thought, yeah if that happened to me I'd react like that, even though I'm a nice guy now. Hes the villain who I think had the most depth.
