Re: Creative rhyming

But in sweet things well, nothing can match it.

Which reminds me of a Valentine's limerick I wrote last year.

Re: Creative rhyming

Oh! OK.

*clears throat*

There once was a young girl from Sweden.
Who gave me the love I was needin'.
I told her my name,
We kissed in the rain,
Then I found out she was a man.

Re: Creative rhyming

Thanks.

It was something we did in an English lesson last year. You wouldn't believe how many cynical poems there were. Even our teacher wrote one about being down in love and, ahem, his hand.

Anyway... your go!

Re: Creative rhyming

He then plucked his lyre
While the place was on fire
And proceeded to write out a "pome".

Re: Creative rhyming

*wince*
Now, our Mister Worthington can
Seem to be a good Limerick man
But when he finds " pome"
Is a good rhyme for "Rome"
It's time to consider a ban!

And here I thought that was a rather nice pun... a "pome" rather than a "poem" seemed to fit what I was doing, don't you think?

Re: Creative rhyming

Now Pyan's the kind of a bloke
Who gets on quite well with most folk
So he'd say to j d,
" Oh, don't listen to me -
In fact, I'm quite sorry I spoke!"
