Re: Concerts Our Lady Peace is fantastic. Really soft at times then quick-to-engage choruses. It's rock with feeling and better than average lyrics. I think I'm going to Interpol in October. They are coming to a place only about 14 hours drive away (the closest in any direction in this land-locked place I live in). I just feel as if I have got to go since they are probably my favorite group right now.

Re: Concerts I'm going to severly tempt fate here and say YAY! We missed out on tickets to the Powderfinger/ Silverchair tour but some friends have just found out they can't go, which is a shame but they've given us first choice at the tickets. Nothing definate until I have them in my hand but at this point we should be going to the Claremont Oval show on September 22nd .

Re: Concerts DOH! I knew I was tempting fate by posting early......Two tickets have turned into one for Powderfinger/Silverchair, its wait and see at the moment but I could well be passing my ticket on to my little sister ![]() On the bright side I ended up going to see The War of the Worlds stage show on the weekend. It's a great show as long as you know what to expect. It isn't so much a musical/stage show as it is a live performance of Jeff Wayne's original release. Jeff Wayne was conducting the whole thing which I didn't realise going in and the longer it went on the better the CGI for Richard Burton seemed. It was the first time I've been at the venue for years and I have to say it still sucks in the worst possible way, the accoustics inside are shocking and it literally took us longer to park the car then it did to drive the 75km to the venue. Then we had to be bused back to the venue because we had to park so far away and at the end of the show, for a few thousand people lining up for the buses back to the carpark there was 1 staff member directing people! He seemed to just give up and walk away as people starting fighting over jumping the queue. Luckily we got on one of the earlier buses. Still a good night out

| Give it time to work | Re: Concerts There is a concert, Breakout '07, this Friday of Aussie rock for 12 to 17 year olds and its only $45 so I'm thinking of getting friends and going. Its got Grinspoon and Gyroscope. Too awesome bands. But then it has Little Birdy and a couple of others that I can't remember. |

Re: Concerts Concerts are da bomb! I try and go to as many as I can and I've had the pleasure of seeing many of my favourite bands such as Dark Funeral, Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir, Immortal and 1349. It really takes music to the next level.
