| Super Moderator | Re: Concerts Heh, heh. Alice is coming out on tour again this year; coming to Fresno (with Queensryche and somebody else I can't recall at the moment), but I won't get to go. However I did see Alice sing live once, back in the 1970s...he sang the national anthem at a baseball game I went to as publicity for a concert he was going to do at the stadium there in Anaheim. |

Tickets on sell here on Saturday for the Great Divide Tour, we're going to have a go at least at getting a couple. The John Butler Trio would be another good concert adn I'm kind of regretting not getting tickets to Bob Dylan now, not a huge fan but still would have good to see him live, I just really didnt like the venue. | |

| Living in Paradise | Re: Concerts Quokka I brought it the day it was released here. I love his Dublin concert. I think in total I have 9-10 Bruce DVD's, numerous CD's and lots of old LP"s. I am a pathetic Bruce fan, have been since i was a teenager. Not sure about Bob, I liked him alot many years ago but have sort of gone off him in recent years. John Butler Trio are pretty cool and they play good music. |

| The Wicked Sword Maiden | Re: Concerts Dire Straits back in the mid 80's were absolutely brilliant! Mark had a geat raport with his audience, sitting on the edge of the stage playing his guitar as the stage was cleared! Chris De Burgh put on a great performance when he toured over here, also back in the 80's I think. Still two of my favourite artists. Another super tour was Elton John, then again his tour with Billy Joel. Not nearly as good though. The last concert was in Melbourne...flew over on a Friday night, concert with Elton Saturday night before returning back to WA on Sunday morning! Worth every dollar and lack of sleep. The next best concert for me would have to be Bob Dylan. Wonderful music and lyrics of course but cost of the tickets far too much for me. Apart from a 'dredged up again' Alice Cooper and Suzie Quatro, nothing much coming along at the moment that interests me. There's a load of 'stars' who are called Aussie... Olivia Newton John, The B G's, Kate Cerbrano, even my favourite Jimmy Barnes was born elsewhere. Then there's the 'Aussie Bands' Crowded House and Splitenze....etc. Still, it's who they perceive themselves to be but how good their music is. |

| Re: Concerts Sorry, The Wickerman Music Festival. Held in Dumfriesshire where the film was shot. A music festival with a more family orientated feel to it. They burn the wickerman at midnight on the Saturday night. On the friday night they burn the wickerboy at 9 - for the kids who can't stay up too late. Music is very varied and usually a great couple of days. The Wickerman Festival - Scotland's Alternative Music Event |
