| High Druid | Just thinking about Duels I was thinking about a couple of threads and have just finished a couple of books on the characters and am wondering who you think would prosper in a battle to the death? Jon Shannow or Roland Deschain For me, even with all the talent and how much i like Shannow it would be Roland hands down. I dont think there is a better warrior. |

| Re: Just thinking about Duels I tried to get this discussion a while ago but nobody answered it http://www.chronicles-network.com/fo...-deschain.html I think I would be biased as I don't like the dark tower series so I would say Jon Can't believe I clicked the wrong button on the poll to give it to Roland Shannow Shannow Shannow Last edited by sanityassassin; 7th February 2007 at 09:23 AM. | Re: Just thinking about Duels Who's Jon Shannow He is another lone gunman in a fantasy world and quite similar to Roland He is from David Gemmell's Wolf in Shadow, Bloodstone and The Last Guardian living in a post apocalyptic world on a quest to find the lost city of Jerusalem. |

| High Druid | Re: Just thinking about Duels Yeah but Roland would kick his ass! lol, I love both characters which is why it was hard to chose but you got to admit SA, even if you dont like the dark tower Roland is such a formidible character i dont think anyone could take him |

| Re: Just thinking about Duels I find them similar characters and it would be close to call but I think Rolynd would beat Roland. Shannow is an unstoppable character with a sixth sense for danger I think if it came to it both of them would be wounded probably mortally . I had a discussion with the Weave who is a big fan of the Dark Tower and she thinks it would be Jon who would be victorious |

| Re: Just thinking about Duels ***picks up large google sign and hits Allanon over head***I win there is surprisingly little about Shannow on the web strangely enough. I am going to persevere to read through the Dark Tower to form a more balanced opinion as I have only read the gunslinger and didn't like it but I am assured it does get better |
