Re: The Magic Kingdom Of Landover I love these books! Its such escapism whilst keeping a "real world" point of view. You simply MUST read all 5 of them! Notes on the movie, I think that they have now given Ben 2 teenage children. This is gonna be aimed at kids and may well suck, but i'll wait to see it before passing judgment.

Re: The Magic Kingdom Of Landover Just finished Magic Kingdom for Sale-Sold. I was pleasantly suprized, I initially recieved it in a bag of cast off books, but I found it to be a very charming book. And having read it, I can completely see it as a hollywood movie, but I'd prefer they leave out these "teenagers" that they are planning on.

Re: The Magic Kingdom Of Landover It's a nice, light read. Not very deep, but the characters are distinctive and entertaining and each book has it's own adventure, different from the previous book. Sometimes it's nice to read a fantasy book which doesn't have a fast amount of pages, or a fantasy series which starts and ends a story within a book, instead having to read through a couple of books to get a conclusion to all storylines. That's why Landover can be a pretty good read. And it has some originality to it as well; a lawyer who buys a magic kingdom and finds himself trying to rule a country with magic beings. That just asks to be read, doesn't it?
