Desperately looking for a book COVER

I'm desperate to find an image which was on the cover of a book I read about 20 years ago!

I *think* the book was a short story collection, and I also *think* it had android or cyborg or something like that in the title. All I really remember about it is the picture:

It was a profile shot of a head, facing to the right I think. The skull was transparent but reflective like glass. Through it you could clearly see the brain and neck muscles. I think the overall colour was blue or blueish, and I think there was some kind of grid pattern in the background. There may well have been some wires or other machine bits inside the skull.

If anyone out there can help at all I'd be eternally grateful (not holding out much hope but ya never know).
