It usually depends on where you get it. Much the same as with you. The chainstores will sell a CD for $9-16. If I wanted to go to the store with *ahem* good music I would probably pay up to $20.

Although, I have found some good CDs from British artists in the uptown stores. People in Planes and Boy Kill Boy cost me less than if I had bought it from Amazon.com or the artist's websites.

On Amazon, new CDs cost £8.99 ish, which is about $17.70.
