Re: What would you take

Oh God! Well, the rabbit, the guinea pig, the fish first...then perhaps my mum (). As for material things, I'd have to grab my laptop...and my folder with my story in it. As much as it pains me, I'd probably leave my books...they can be replaced. Although perhaps I'd take one, so I could read it out on the grass while the house was burning down

Re: What would you take

my dog (but it's likely he would have scarpered anyway)

then my guitars, my banjo, my songs, my writing, old family photos - sound's like I probably end up getting a but burnt with all the stuff I'd want to save.

So saying I did actually have a fire once and I managed to get most of everything I wanted saving out onto the lawn before the smoke got too bad and I had to get out.

Family, budgie, photos if time. Anything else is just stuff, replaceable, and not worth getting killed for.

After my mum, I'd take my comemorative 5 times Champions League Winners Liverpool top and my kilt. The rest I could replace.

Re: What would you take

Well... Realistically? My laptop and my large external hard drive. That lets me save my documentary, my book, my music, and pretty much the rest of my digital life.

If possible, I'd grab a couple of my favorite vintage toys, too, and maybe my Eddie Jones painting.

Also (and now we're getting unrealistic, since I'm not an octopus and I've only got two arms), my collection of Squires Press letterpress books -- two until-then unpublished Bradbury short stories (including a Martian Chronicle), and a buncha Lovecraft prose poems. Though, come to think of it, all the books would probably be the cause of the fire in the first place...

... Man, what a horrible prospect...

(Excluding any living thing capable of escaping on its own)

First? My computer. I have 520gb of music, movies, photos, games, texts, etc I wouldn't want to deal with collecting again. Then would be my game consoles & games, followed by anything else from my room I'd have time to save.

My family and as many books I could save. If it comes down to just one then it will be Fool's Fate =D

My books.

Right now I'll make sure my parents are safe first but in a month or so I'll be living in splendid isolation.

Well Allanon - I am surprised! If you haven't been able to train up your Druids to escape on their own ... !

i'd open the window and toss out my guitar, portable harddrive and purse. the cats would have long scarpered and then dragged out anyone else in the house.
