Hello from Vancouver, BC <3

Hi, my name is Stephanie, and as the title says, I'm from Vancouver, BC, Canada.

I am a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy, and found my way here through a connection of somesorts. ^__^;; Odd how that works out, ne?

I love Japanese anime ontop of my sci-fi/fantasy world, and I am currently working on a few stories that delve into both types of worlds. I'm an artist, and a craftswoman, I love to knit and crochet, as well as draw anime. I rarely find time for one type of craft or the other, but I manage somehow!

Thank you all for welcoming me into your packed forum! <33

Welcome Stephanie! Well, we seem crowded, but you'll soon find that we're quite a small crowd of regulars who are trapped in this site, endless prowling the corridors and slowly developing rickets from lack of natural light...ahem!

Anyway, let me extend my greetings to you. I look forward to bumping into you around the place. I would give you a few warnings about the place, but I'm in the UK and it's 4am, so my brain is frazzled and I'd end up saying something like look out for the singing mice in the Basement!

No...wait...that IS what I'm supposed to say! Really, watch out for the mice!
And the Shoggoths...and Wally...and peanuts...oh, the peanuts...and cake bombs...*Walks away in a fatigued daze*

White rabbit, by any chance? One of our better recruiters. Then there's the cracks in the pavement scam, the "I don't remember that quaint little second hand bookshop" con, the Con con that got me… and you look up from your computer and everyone you knew has grown grey, old and boring. The glistening, unsatisfying vistas of the Chronicles tempt you ever further from dreary reality; and suddenly, a complete unknown, no direction home…

But sound engineers are like vampires; we don't need natural light. In fact, avoiding sunlight is instinctive. Not all are as far evolved as I, rejecting most artificial light as well, navigating by echolocation and the eerie glow of the computer screen.

Just a moment - packed? Is it time to install another bank of lifts, or open another dimension? Can't have people without breathing space (though they're all clustered round their TV sets watching the Hogfather (Jammy persons whose parent's marital status is in question), so there's no hurry.

Did I welcome you in? I don't believe I did. Welcome to the end of the rainbow, the start of the yellow brick motorway, the bit of reality TV shot in colour rather than black and white.

Greetings & Welcome!

(OK, here's the deal. They're all mad around here except for me (by accepted standards) so trust me when i say you need to flee to save your sanity. So run. Run fast; run far. 'Cause They'll get you. They really will. And don't eat the Master's, uh i mean, Scalem's peanuts. They do things to you.)

Meowrr and Namaste. Just know that you are doomed, escape is impossible and you really should not believe anyone who tells you they are quite sane by accepted standards. Oh and while there is a rumour going around that there is no spoon, there are however, cats and possibly chopsticks and peanuts and oh yes ... now we also have cakes.

Oh goodness. Oh peanuts, peanuts are yummy! XD
*can't decide if she'll take one or not* So tempting! @__@

LOL Well, I certainly feel welcome. I am, by accepted standards, not too sane myself, so I think I shall fit in fine! XD
