Chain emails. Just a bit lower than spam. I hate chain emails, I get them from my girlfriends mother and from my buddies girlfriend. (We don't like each other, so that's probably why.) I think they're awful and manipulative. Telling me to make a wish, but if I do not send this email to 10 more people my wish will become the opposite. Flippin' cheek if you ask me. Are any of you plagued with this sort of rubbish? If so do any of you live in fear of breaking the chain? Because I can assure you that an email with lacklustre animated gifs will have no effect on your life whatsoever other than to annoy you.

Re: Chain emails. Just a bit lower than spam. Lol. actually, I got my first chain mail for ages the other day... Was told I had to send it on to 100 people. Like, sure, I'll do that I manage to avoid almost all spam and stuff like that. God knows how, as I have my email up on loads of forums Ah well, I'm not complaining

Re: Chain emails. Just a bit lower than spam. I'm always the chain breaker. Could be why I've had such devastatingly bad luck the past few years - if I believed in such carp. However, I refuse to allow people to tell me what kind of day to have and how to have it.

Re: Chain emails. Just a bit lower than spam. Always nice to know others are fighting the good fight too. I hate any form of media that tries to cause needless fear and panic. I have enough 'real' problems to deal with without that sort of thing. Same goes for those articles saying "Oh in 5 years we might be hit by an asteroid...DANGER DANGER!!!" read on and you will discover the odds.

Re: Chain emails. Just a bit lower than spam. I have never gotten one of those either. I've only ever gotten one spam. I don't know how I don't get more... My daughter got one of those the other day. Apparently she isn't worried about it because she read it then deleted it. She gets a ton of spam, she told me she had thousands of them in her bulk mail. Apparently she hadn't checked it in a while...

I actually only get them from one person usually, one of my best friends, and I know that she sends them on basically because it gives her something to do at work. The only time I've ever enjoyed getting anything like this was a couple of times when the man I work for when I do props for the ballet would send along e-mail petitions, you know the issue-oriented things that ask you to add your name to the end of the list and then send them along to everyone you know. And those were mainly fun because by reading the list I could see that he had received them from Gregory Hines (noted dancer and actor), who was a good friend of his. Alas, Gregory Hines died a few months ago, and so I won't be getting any more of those. They were always good causes, too. |

Re: Chain emails. Just a bit lower than spam. If none of you forward them, and I don't, then who does, cause i always have tons of that sort of spam (not an accusation, but an observation, that if no one sends them, who does)
