Re: Hi from Indian Ocean Meowrr and Namaste. Just know that you are doomed, escape is impossible and you really should not believe anyone who tells you they are quite sane by accepted standards. Oh and while there is a rumour going around that there is no spoon, there are however, cats and possibly chopsticks and peanuts and oh yes ... now we also have cakes. ![]() ![]()

Re: Hi from Indian Ocean Hello Sergine, welcome from a 2 months old member! Honestly and shamefully, I'd never heard of Reunion Island before I saw your post. Now that I checked it out on wikipedia, I found it's fascinating! 'Reunionese culture is a blend of European, African, Indian, Chinese and insular traditions... Local food and music blend influences from Africa, India, China and Europe.' Ahhh, something to die for! I also live on a tiny island though not a native, it's called Malta, in the middle of Mediterranean sea. It's a member of EU and 'Commonwealth' - if that still means anything. It's not an 'overseas department' of another country but a little nation of it's own. Anyway, have a good time! This place is a fantasy land.

Re: Hi from Indian Ocean Hello Allegra, You don't have to feel ashamed; to tell you the truth, most of the time, even native French do not know about Reunion^^ (or other French overseas departments). And as I saw in Wikipedia, your island is pretty interesting too, the historical background is impressive... Thanx for the welcome everybody.

Re: Hi from Indian Ocean Welcome & Greetings! Please tell me there's some dodos still hiding in a lost corner of your island. (OK, here's the deal. They're all mad around here (vraiment cingler!) except for me (by accepted standards) and if you hang around you'll never escape. So flee (illico presto) while your mind is still your own.

Re: Hi from Indian Ocean Hi Tau Zero! Dodos is Reunion? No, except if you're talking about our local beer. *They're hiding in a secret place till the day they will finally learn how to fly* Let me know if you get some response A.V Spencer!
