Ascifi...where has it all gone!? I come back from a year's + absence, and look...nothing here anymore....

Can someone please tell me what's gone on with ascifi or has it just integrated itself into this new network, changed its name etc etc.

Ascifi was taken over a few months ago and was integrated with another more active forum i.e. The Chronicles Network feel free to say hi to a whole new bunch of members and there is still a few of your old ascifi comrades are still here. So let me officially welcome you to the Chronic

I had many thousands of posts, lol - guess not anymore (and my aliens have gone too )

Our glorious leader goes by the name of Brian that is called Brian, don't worry about the number of posts as when the merge happened everybody's post numbers all got screwed up and most peoples post count got halved and then a a few other tech issues muddled them up some more but most don't care about post counts on here as only certain sections do the posts count as for who is still here from ascfi Highlander II and Dave are sort of active and a few others

Dave is a Super Moderator, and those Ascifi staff who were active and wished to continue here, joined up as well. Padders isn't active on the staff - was offered, but is tied up elsewhere (not literally!).

The issue of the posts - none are removed, but chronicles employs a different way of totalling post counts. Basically, anything in the SFF discussions is counted, but posts on the general off-topic boards isn't. Hope that helps explain that.

I'm also planning on resurrecting something akin to the aliens - not a priority yet, as merging and settling the forums after the merger was quite a challenge, but will look to address aliens sometime beginning of next year.

Anyway, hope that helps a bit - I'll move this thread with a redirect to the Feedback section, and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

I think they've answered your questions. Everyone from ASciFi who was still around is still here now, only this is such a big place they tend to get lost, and the distinction has all but gone now anyway. I think you will like it here if you still like Anime since there seems to be a much larger community here that enjoy it.
