The Hogfather Showing on sky one, 17th and 18th december. I really hope it lives up to the book, but I doubt it. That was possibly one of my very favourites, and that is saying something. Fingers crossed.

Re: The Hogfather I agree about it living up to the book. But at the same time it is great to see a live action TP adaptation, and from the cast and the look of it it it could be very good. It just won't compare to the way our imaginations interpret the book...

Re: The Hogfather Susan in the advert looked precisely nothing like imagined her, but that's just a fact of life, caused by differing perceptions. I just hope they don't miss out too much of the story, or the awesome jokes! We're going to have to tape it too. There an unavoidable work thing. A 'party' although those never live up to the name. Still, we have the technology.

Re: The Hogfather Yeah, I'm getting them both recorded. looks like hogfather itself is 4 hours. I don't know why they show "the making of" before the actual film. It normally puts me off because i have to watch them in that order if i can't record them, and i'd rather see the making of after watching the film itself.

Re: The Hogfather It doesn't say! Don't tell me they've cut him out, the bit where he wants revenge against the god of drinking was soooo funny, and the whole explanation of the difference between a god and an oh god was classic Pratchett. D*mn you, sky! How could you!

Re: The Hogfather Quite a few fans got tickets to the Film Premiere of Hogfather on 27 November in London, and the feedback was apparently very good. I say apparently, because I got a ticket to go, but ended up sitting on a train on the way in to London, waiting for a signal failure to be sorted out, and missed the whole thing. Bitter? Me? Certainly not...

Re: The Hogfather Looking forward to seeing what this is like, as I've always wanted to see a Discworld adaption (though remain relatively wary that much of the word-based humour would be lost [unless they had a narrator, possibly - think Douglas Adams]). From the pictures on the website, it reminds me a good deal of "Nightmare Before Christmas". Song and dance, anyone? ![]() -D
