Who listens to what music?

Oi! I forgot to add Kite. They're one of my favourite bands and I can almost guarantee that most of you have never heard them before because they hail from Barbados and they aren't really that popular. :P

It's only recently I heard the name of André Rieu, the Dutch violinist and popular classical-pop star, and got the first glimpse of his pop like concert on TV. Although he and his orchestra's performance and presentation is totally not my taste, I have to admit his concerts must have drawn many people into classical genre, which is good. Any fans here?

My musical tastes are far too varied and there's just too many bands out there,many i've still not heard! I was brought up on electronic stuff,jean michel jarre,numan,Vangelis,ultravox.tomita etc etc and i still love that stuff. Never been a big pop fan or one who follows the crowd and i like things a little odd at times. My favourite band is Depeche Mode and i still love Numan,even tho his new stuff is dark goth metal. I also like nine inch nails even tho i only have one album. Coldplay are one of the best bands going tho i think their new album sounds weak compared to their earlier ones. Also i've recently discovered Radiohead,another cool band! Funny how the best bands seem to be those you don't hear on the radio! Then i go to stuff like Simple Minds,have all their albums bar 3 i think. Also U2 tho i'm bored with them at the mo. I want more Pink Floyd,i have 2 albums, Dark Side and Wish You were Here. I also have The Wall but don't like it.
And then suddenly i'll renounce all modern music and go on a classical binge. I have a lot of classical and it would be nigh on impossible to name a favourite their,but i do love Shostakovich and want to discover more russian composers like Prokofiev and Mussorgsky.

Everything from Krautrock (Can, Amon Duul) to Post Punk (Swell Maps, Five Or Six) to Reggae (Dubmatix, Black Uhuru) to Metal (Iron Maiden, Gojira) to Electronica (Amon Tobin, Afterlife) to Dubstep (2562, Benga) to Prog (Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd). I hate Coldplay though lol

It should be called young teeny bopper music because I'm of the older teenagers and I can't think of anyone I know who listens to that crappy teeny bopper stuff. Its mainly all rock, and quite a few of us listen to the old rock too. And indie. Indie is good.
