off topic forums?

i recently was asked to taker the topic discussed to another forum, as it was off topic for the thread. why not have a general, off topic discussion forum for people to use???

just an idea

Ps, again of topic, but why isn't there a Katherine Kerr forum?

Re: off topic forums?

Um, not quite sure I follow here.... What do you mean by an "off-topic forum"? Random thoughts sort of thing? We've got something of that sort. Or a vent-and-rant... got that too (and it seems to wander all over the map). So if you could clarify what you mean by the term, perhaps?....

As for why no forum set aside for Katherine Kerr ... same as with a huge number of writers: There's not been enough interest devoted to that one. That's how a writer here gets a sub-forum ... once there have been enough threads devoted to, that seem to generate a fair amount of interest and response, then such a move is considered.

It's hard to keep twist-ties looking new.

Re: off topic forums?

Yup, plenty of off topic-ness in the Lounge. Which is why I hang around there...I just get shouted at in other forums

Yep - the Lounge for general off-topic discussion.
http://www.chronicles-network.com/forum/the-lounge/

We also have a sister site, devoted to off-topic discussion, banter, and games:
FreeCafe forums - Powered by vBulletin

Hope that helps.

You'll have better luck if you wax them once a week.

Sage advice that applies to a lot more than just twist-ties.

Re: off topic forums?

Perhaps the "off topic forum" means talk about something completely unrelated to the previous posts?...

There is a withered apple in my uncles eye socket, his medicaid wouldn't cover a false eye. He says nobody in his hive notices.

The whole town turns out to wax "IT". To not do so means certain wheezing fits and itchy eyebrows.

Re: off topic forums?

I don't know where to look for the correct forums for specific posts - and my new threads end up getting transferred anyway!!!!! I am just not computer clever (not just computers if I'm honest!)

Perhaps you'd do better with fingers instead of paws.

Re: off topic forums?

Someone say pause?........................................Was that a good enough pause for you?
Or paws? I don't have paws...I have claws!
Clause? As in this, if I wanted to look for an example?
Santa Claus? He'll be coming soon! Woot.
