Exclamation Slaine - 2000AD

Help needed!!!

Hi, i read the series of Slaine and the Horned God a couple of years back and loved it. But the one thing that stuck in my head was the Earth Goddess - Danu. Over the past few months ive been thinking of getting a tattoo and the thing that i keep coming back to is her face surrounded by flowers, but my sister (who owned the comics) threw them away. The comic was released by 2000AD and i seem to remember the artwork being by (Simon) Bisley???

I have been looking for her online for hours and cant find any proper pictures and it would be so so SO helpfull if someone could scan and send me a page with her on it. Or even just point me in the right direction.

Thanks a lot
James

btw. i have to make note that that was an amazing comic and from what ive seen on my searches online the best artwork of Slaine around.

James,

I am new to this site but to let you know that I have a few hundred copies of 2000Ad. Have you any idea which issues Danu was in?

Re: Slaine - 2000AD

2000AD was brilliant - I liked Slaine, ABC Warriors et all. Slaine was out about 20 years ago if I remember rightly, Nemisis was still in the comic at the time. Hope this helps.

P.S. Hail and Welcome, but I will let the others do it properly.
P.P.S. Beware of Newts and Broccali, indeed beware of people offering the following gifts - cakes, cheese and Ginger Snaps.

Re: Slaine - 2000AD

TP,
Greetings and thank yu 4 taking the time to write and offering such warm welcomings. I am in hearty agreement with you regarding 2000AD and all of its creative offerings. Unfortunately I now do not partake of its splendig von thrill powers. However I do enjoy graphic novels, as these offer an opportunity to read as either one sitting or over a period, as I know that if I subscribed to a weekly I would not have the time to read them and know that a backlog would soon build, not good. Anyway how are you?

P.S. I liked the way you referred to me as SD - short for Saintdamian , obviously,as well as a hero of mine in 2000AD - Strontium Dog....I like it and I will keep it...Ciao!!!!

SD

I am fine, I really liked Nemises as well as Judge Dredd (enough said). Why don't you come over to the Tea room and meet some of the other mentally challanged personas?
