England somehow snatched defeat out of the jaws of a certain draw. The series will be done after Perth. The best that the English can do there is draw, and I very much doubt they'll even do that. If they do manage a draw, things aren't going to get any easier in Melbourne or Sydney. Dissappointing.

Thanx for all the info. In a strange way it made sense. Karsa, you say England is hopeless, Scotland are only good for winning the Elephant polo world cup, and there ain't no elephants in Scotland.

How did we manage to lose like that? And what a useless second innings we had. There's always hope, I suppose, but it doesn't look good for the rest of the series.

And is that the advice you would have given Ponting and Co. if the positions were reversed, Culhwch? Stranger things have happened than an England cricket team winning three Tests on the trot against Australia!

Actually, if they were playing as ordinarily as the English, I would be. I'm a bigger fan of the Kiwis, so I'm very keen for the one dayers to start.

I'm very keen for the team to get on the plane as soon as they can and be replaced by the English blind cricket team, who absolutely thumped the aussies last month.
