Re: Other King Books

I just did an inventory of my den and bedroom. I have 44 Stephen King books not counted a couple of duplicates. Of those 44 I only found one of the 35 or so that I've read that I couldn't finish and that was Dreamcatcher. I could not get throught the alien in a toilet concept. It was too much for me. Besides I thought it was about Yogi Berra.

[For those of you not familiar with american baseball, Yogi Berra was a famous baseball catcher. He is also know for his mangling of the English language. "It's like Deja Vu all over again"]

, Steve. I love baseball, and I love a good baseball joke. That was a very good baseball joke.

And, hey, it might have been about Yogi...King is a big baseball fan, you know.

"the Girl who Loved Tom Gordon" comes to mind. And after I read the book, Tom "Flash" Gordon signed with my favorite team, The Chicago Cubs and did well for a while.

Re: Other King Books

I've just bought his new book - Cell. Haven't started reading it yet, but from the blurb it seems to have similarities with The Stand, except the virus is transmitted by cell phone. Has anyone read it yet?

Also, I found out that if you buy it from Waterstones you get a limited edition silver charm in the shape of a fanned book - quite cool. The hardback is also half price there at the mo - £8.99. By the way, I don't work for Waterstones!!! I just thought that it was a good deal, so worth sharing with people.
