Oooh! An introduction!

I have already gotten a few welcomes, but I think I'll introduce myself none the less.

I'm 32 year old a Danish woman and I live in Ireland with my Norwegian boyfriend whom I met when we both lived in Sweden. Life is simply too short to live in the same country all of the time.

I found this forum when I was wondering about a question and typed that exact question into Google. It was about Tolkien and had been discussed here already. Later I posted to get help to find a title and got it 4 minutes after posting the question.

I like both fantasy and sci-fi.

Two writers I'm very glad to have discovered during the last year are Stan Nicholls and John Scalzi. I have discovered others too, but these two stand out.

Two writers I already know a bit, but have recently decided to read more by are Philip K. Dick and Kurt Vonnegut.

I believe that felines are divine and sanity is best admired from a distance.

It is similar to stupidity and nuclear power in that it's best not to get any on you.
Greetings and Felicitations.

Yes, I've seen you around, Nikitta... so allow me to issue a formal Welcome here... and say that I look forward to your continued input.

And yes, felines are indeed divine (and what's more they know it!) and sanity ... I won't even go near that one!

Re: Oooh! An introduction!

So, you want some sanity, preferably on a pedestal, to be admired at a distance? Certainly, mam, sure we've got some around here somewhere, though we don't get much call for it…it was in a case in a cupboard in the tea room, someone must have moved it - no, wait a minute, that was the old tea room, perhaps it got left behind…
In the mean time, please be welcome here. Sanity might not be our strong suit, but frienly contact is high on the list.

Lovely to meet you Nikitta - you seem to skit around all over the place and you've mentioned a few writers I've never heard of - but will certainly look up. You could, perhaps, be our resident foreign fantasy writer researcher?!!

Meowrr and Namaste. Just know that you are doomed, escape is impossible and you really should not believe anyone who tells you they are quite sane by accepted standards. Oh and while there is a rumour going around that there is no spoon, there are however, cats and possibly chopsticks and peanuts.

In any case, thanks for all of the kind welcomes!
