Hi, im doing a research about the idea of hero in present times, i really will thank you if you anwer the following brief questions:

1-Whom is from your perspective a hero in the real world (living or dead)?

2-Why?

3-Which characteristics you think that make him a hero?

4-1-Whom is from your perspective a hero inside fictional worlds (Tv, movies, comics, literature, etc.)?

Re: Hero

A Hero is one who performs a hero act or heroic virtue. This act or virtue is anything that goes beyond the call of duty, or beyond the normal range of human actions. The deed of the hero can be physical in nature or spiritual. Physical eg a heroic deed in battle, spiritual eg putting oneself in seclusion in order to find a truth to share with humanity.

We have not even to risk the adventure alone,
For the heroes of all-time have gone before us.
The labyrinth is thoroughly known.
We have only to follow the thread of the hero path.
And where we had thought to find an abomination,
We shall find a god.
And where we had thought to slay another,
We shall slay ourselves.
And where we had thought to travel outward,
We shall come to the center of our own existance.
And where we had thought to be alone,
We shall be with all the world.
--Joseph Campbell

I will think of some examples
