I would put Armageddon's Children down as the best fantasy work I've read in the past year. But though I'm not a huge fan of the Shannara books I'm already kind of wondering to what extent the Knights of the Word in the Word and Void series may or may not become the Druids in the Shannara books.

In other words, I have a sinking feeling we may not be looking at anything conclusive re: defeating the Void this series; that both continue on in an altered form once Shannara "starts." Hope I'm wrong, though.

I have Armageddon's Children, but once I found out that it's a tie in with both of his series, I decided to wait to read it until I've read W&V. I've read Running With the Demon, and wasn't too impressed the first time I read it, but I think I just skimmed through it. I'm going to read the three W&V books before starting on Children.
