Re: Best Eighties Doctor: Davison Vs Baker Vs McCoy

My favorite is by far Davison. But this is mostly reflective on the quality of the stories that he had to work with. Practically every one was at least very good, with only a clunker or two.

While the suggestion of Baker had potential, the bulk of his stories were wretched, with only one or two worth notice. He however, shines in the Big Finish Audios, where the other two doctors' stories aren't a significant improvement over their Video tenures.

Now, McCoy had possibly the two worst seasons worth of writing of any Doctor (the RTD series notwithstanding), but he did shine in his final season, where every single story, and much of his performances were top notch. To bad they cancelled the show after that. McCoy could have been up there with the best.

Hmm I'm going to have to say Peter Davison. I didn't like Mc Coy or Baker

Davidson for me too, though they were all pretty lousy.

Yep, Davison for me too. He wasn't great, but Baker and McCoy were significantly worse...

I hated Colin Baker in the role, and McCoy was alright t best, so I'm gonna say Davidson.
