No, that's a film starring Meryl Streep about the mysterious death of a whistle-blower who works in a nuclear sock factory.

Through some contrived premise, you are trying to find your way out of a labyrinth. One always tell the truth; the other only tell lies. You may ask ONE question to ONE of the guards to try to determine which door to take. (You cannot go back the way you came, by the way) What do you ask?
Have you not watched The Labyrinththen? Anyone who has would know the answer! (LOVE that movie)

Re: Riddle/puzzle game

As I went across the bridge, I met a man with a load of wood which was neither straight nor crooked. What kind of wood was it?

ok, sounds like bendy wood to me, so is this just something to do with saplings? flexible wood is neither straight nor crooked.

Re: Riddle/puzzle game

It's a trick. It was on a bridge, so he couldn't be carrying a load of wood.

Or it's some kind of a compound word with wood in it, like he was from Hollywood or Brentwood or something.

Or it was a load of acorns, that is ony potentially wood, or ashes, that used to be wood.

Maybe it was under a tarp, so it's impossible to declare it either bendy or straight.

The guy was blind, and couldn't tell what shape the wood was.

It was a whole tree.

Maybe the guy had good intentions but no folllow-through, so it was a load of would.

Or, as is most likely, it has something to do with socks.

Re: Riddle/puzzle game

So you're saying this guy spent the day collecting sawdust, and now he doesn't have any in his socks? That seems highly unlikely, if I may say so.

I call "gabflabner" on this question. If a team of men is working to dig a hole, there is a very high likelyhood that it is for a purpose, say, for a grave, or to put in a telephone pole. As such, it would have definite parameters. You could have "half a hole" dug if it was three feet of a six-foot grave. I require a gabflabner ruling from the moderator.

Preferably a moderator wearing socks, as barefootedness indicates unreliability.

In that case, surely a barefoot moderator is a contradiction in terms?
