You got it!

*hangs head* I'm out of riddles for now. Can anyone else do any better, until I can wrack what passes for my brain for some more?

A box without a lock, a lid, a hinge...but inside golden treasure there is...what is it?

Re: Riddle/puzzle game

Oh, I know this one! This is the riddle I was trying to remember, so that I could set it for everyone else!

It's an egg, isn't it? I hope I've got that right. I'll look a fool if I haven't

Can you write seven words, using the letters from the two words NEWS and DROVES - but using each letter ONCE only?

What is the longest month of the year?
Not by name or anything tricky.
Temporally speaking, which is the longest month?

Re: Riddle/puzzle game

if you are talking time wise and no hidden meaning and you live in a country where it is applicable then October is the longest month when clocks go back an hour

I love solving riddles, I'm just really bad at telling them! I'll try an easy one though -

A cowboy rides into town on Friday, stays for three days, and leaves on Friday. How is this possible?

Re: Riddle/puzzle game

I have one...you drive a bus with 37 people on it. At the first stop 13 people get on, 6 people get off, then in the town centre, another 9 people get on, 7 get on and two teenagers are thrown off as well for being boisterous. At the next stop 6 people get on, one pays with a £10 note, one with a £5 note, but all the rest have the correct amount...therfore...What's the bus driver's name?

Re: Riddle/puzzle game

I said it was easy!

The bus driver's name is whatever your name is, because you are the driver.

Ok, try this one -

Before Mount Everest was discovered, what was the highest mountain on earth?

Re: Riddle/puzzle game

What do you mean "discovered" It's still there, even if no ones seen it! So it's still the highest!

(and damn you with the bus one...I was actually stumped on that one when i first heard it, because people tend to just look at all the numbers and forget who's driving the bus!)
