| Torchwood: Dr Toshiko Sato (Naoko Mori) Torchwood: Dr Toshiko Sato (Naoko Mori) ----------------------------- Creating topic, remember you can only discuss this character inside this topic. Use spoiler tags as required. ----------------------------- Naoko Mori, reprising her role from the Doctor Who episode Aliens Of London. According to the BBC, she is “the team member who specialises in all things computer, surveillance and technical. According to SFX Magazine, "All the cast are stunningly beautiful, but Naoko also has a real vulnerability that you completely believe. An easy way to describe her is she's the computer geek, she's the techy nerd, but emotionally she's a much deeper character. But she plays that repressed, 'I know what I feel about you, but I don't know how to express it' thing. She's almost emotionally the opposite to Owen, but there are some episodes where we get to explore what that repression is..." |

| Re: Torchwood: Dr Toshiko Sato (Naoko Mori) I like her...She's cool...And from the preview at the end of one of the Torchwood Declassifieds...I'm gonna love her before the end ...I wonder if they realised how much her name sounds like Hoshi Sato (Enterprise)...She seems to be acting in much the same way really... |

Secondly that the second series of Torchwood is going to deal with a different side to her, including shedding light on her Doctor Who appearance. |

| Resident vMonkey Breeder | Re: Torchwood: Dr Toshiko Sato (Naoko Mori) Methinks you're right. She was the one who found out it was just a pig, wasn't she? Makes sense - the Wikipedia article implies that she was a doctor in London, and says that she was called into Albion Hospital to have a look at the supposed alien corpse. After the pig thing, she might have been sought out by TW2, or gone to find them for answers... though the question is, why from London to Cardiff? Best way to study aliens is to stay in London, I'd have thought. ![]() Toshiko Sato - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

| Re: Torchwood: Dr Toshiko Sato (Naoko Mori) She seems to have had a slight re-alignment of her character and role this 2nd season. Last season she did attend a police station to examine a body (something which would be Owen's role, or after the introduction of Martha, her role?) This is what the Blowfish said in his team analysis in Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang: Quote:

| Re: Torchwood: Dr Toshiko Sato (Naoko Mori) I am glad to see that Tosh is gaining a personality in this series! Along with several of the other characters. I feel that Jack is taking a bit of a backseat so they gain a bit mroe character, which is proabbly about time. |
