Band Name Help - Science Fiction Fantasy Chronicles: forums

I can't remember their name!! It is a folksy type music group that started out locally and making their own tapes and selling them on their own. The only thing I can remember about them is that their name is The _____ ____ with the first word after The starting with a W. Something like...The Wandering Fools only that's not it. They are probably only known in the US so far, but I did see them listed on a web search a while ago - I noticed it because I was surprised that they were popular outside of their own groupies.

Anyone have any ideas who I'm talking about? I believe they may have started in the Carolinas somewhere and mostly play there locally.

Unfortunately no. They were a band my cousin is fond of...I heard of them for the first time at his wedding. I'm just trying to remember the name because I was talking with a friend about these kind of 'local' groups that have big followings and the name I can't remember is really bugging me. I suppose I'll have to ask my cousin but it is just a bit embarrassing since one of the band members was there and it was a big deal for them and now I don't remember the name! I figured it was worth a try but I knew it was a long shot that someone here would be familiar with them.

The first W word is something like whistling or wandering or wayfaring or something like that.
