| Why Not... Why not make an individual sub-forum where people can ask others about a book they've forgotten, because I always notice those types of threads are the most prevalent in the Gen. Book Discussion. Just a suggestion. |

| Brian G. Turner | Re: Why Not... Could well be a good idea. One slight concern is that these are often posted by new users, who perhaps won't notice that there is such a board - and if the thread is moved, not be able to find their answer! I think it's definitely worth considering though - will have a think. |

| Re: Why Not... Just a quick, semi-related question. When a moderator moves a thread to another, more appropirate board, does the creator of the thread gets an e-mail notification about this? I know some other forum I used to go to (BUT NOT ANYMORE BECAUSE CHRONIES IS COOLER, ahum...) did send out an e-mail notification, and, if I remember correctly, also to everyone who had posted in that thread before the moving. |

| Re: Why Not... A redirect should definitely do the trick, and as a moderator and former mod at other boards, I think leaving them is definitely a good idea. This is a very active board, so in most forums a redirect will drop off the first page relatively quickly. It's a pity no board that I know of has an automatic delete function, such as delete redirects after 30 days... |
