Re: Worst Doctor? I don't like Tom Baker as the Doctor, he's always so smug and up himself! And he reminds me of my father-in-law ![]() I had my first TV crush on Pater Davison (I was about 6), I didn't like Colin Baker, and hed to stop watching McCoy, coz the storylines terrified me! Watching the most recent Doctors, I really like Ecclestone, he was nicely distant ('I don't do families') and enthusiastic. I think Tennant's Doctor, as has been mentioned, spends too much time snogging and mucking with the timeline. However, in reply to the original question, PAUL MCGANN! He was naff-o-rama!

"Well now," - Each actor brought a different perspective to the role of the "DOCTOR" and, technically each did the best with the storylines they had. SO, the stories were either good or, bad not the actual actors. Having met all the actors from original "WHO" except for "WILLIAM" and, seen them do other tv - film and, even stage work (except "PAT" and, "PETER" - all are/were excellent actors. Still, have to, hopefully, encounter "PAUL McGANN" - "CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON" and, "DAVID TENNANT" in, the flesh. I notice no-one has mentioned "PETER CUSHING'S" totally different version of the "DOCTOR" in the two 1960's Movies?? Personally, I don't have a worst "DOCTOR" - just worst/best stories!!!

Re: Worst Doctor? Until a few months ago, I would happily have placed McGan's portrayal of the Doctor as being the most empty. But since BBC7 have started running the radio plays he has grown considerebly on me. Not a great fan of Tenant and Ecclestone, but that is more of a feeling there is something missing, perhaps they are just too contemporary and ordinary. Davidson is the one I have serious problems with. He is just too young. Turn the picture off and he is fine

Well, he was better than Paul McGann, but the same could be said of a cardboard cut-out. Whoever put in Bonnie Langford should be shot.![]() | |

Re: Worst Doctor? For me the worst Doctor Colin Baker also. I stopped watching the show after his rendition of the doctor. Just didnt like anything about him. My favorite though would have been Tom Baker or Jon Pertwee, both were great doctors in their own individual ways.
