| Firefly returns on Scifi channel Sorry to disappoint you, it isn't Firefly season 2. But Scifi channel in the UK are showing Firefly again on Thursday's at 9 PM. The trailer is actually quite good (unlike the awful Fox one), so everyone who can should watch it, to get the ratings up. Let's hope that maybe, if we're lucky, after they finish the Serenity sequels Sci-fi channel would be willing to do a season 2 of Firefly. (This is a bit late, I know, as it started last Thursday). But hopefully this'll get a few more Browncoats. It also seems to be on at 7 PM on Sundays. |

| Re: Firefly returns on Scifi channel I checked the US Scifi channel and they don't seem to be showing it. I don't know why. But given the backing they're giving it here I wouldn't be surprised if they show it in the US as well soon. I think they have shown it in the US before on Scifi channel, but it doesn't seem to be on at the moment. |

| Re: Firefly returns on Scifi channel I'm not sure whether they'll do a second series solely based on the UK market. We're always regarded as a bonus rather than the main event. Plus I hate how they work out the ratings system anyway. Essentially my viewing pleasure is being determined by a set selection of hand-picked families. No wonder TV's in the state it's in.... ![]() |

| Re: Firefly returns on Scifi channel No of courrse not, but the US Scifi channel has shown it in the past (I think they showed it just before Serenity came out, at least that's what the site seems to suggest). At least there are still some networks out there giving Firefly the support it deserved from the start. |

| Re: Firefly returns on Scifi channel Any Aussies who didn't buy Firefly on DVD, or who did and still want to watch it on telly gorramit! will have the opportunity to catch the series on the new Sci-Fi channel that Foxtel is introducing in Dec 06. Finally! I was getting mighty jealous of all you nations with dedicated Sci-fi networks. |

Money. Audience. Ratings. Commercials. They don't care about those of us who have watched the channel since Farscape and Invisible Man. Poop on thier heads I say, RIGHT ON THIER HEADS!!!!! PS: I actually love wrestling. Undertaker, Big Show, The Rock, Lita, and so on.....but still.....not on my sci fi channell!!!!!!!

And I will of course be over at your house on those nights with popcorn in hand. You can never have too much Firefly.

| Re: Firefly returns on Scifi channel I found the series on DVD and watched it ritually (one episode a night) late winter because I never saw it before I saw the movie but a new season would be very interesting. I might even find time to watch a third show in real time on a weekly basis. (I make a point to sit down on Fridays to watch Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica. Everything else I see is because I turn on the TV and it is there) |
