Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations Field of 32, here's the list at this point: Bronn Areo Hotah Barristan Selmye The Halfhand Jaime Lannister Arthur Dayne Loras Tyrell Robert Baratheon Strong Blewas Sandor Clegane Gregor Clegane Toormund Giantsbane Mance Rayder Euron Greyjoy Victarion Greyjoy Syrio Forel Umber Greatjon Oberyn Martell Khal Drogo Jaquen Hagar Brienne of Tarth Donal Noye Biter Randall Tarly Brynden Tully Shagga Timmett Addam Marbrand Rattleshirt The Magnar of Thenn Stannis Baratheon Kevan Lannister This is tentative for the moment. I apologize if a name is mispelled. lol If there is a glaring omission, or an incredulous inclusion, let me know. We will also need to set a standard of interpretation for the matchups. I prefer that we assume everyone is at their prime (but Boaz seemed to have an issue with that), I would far prefer the idea of a matchup between Robert and Jaime if they were both battle worthy instead of half crippled, or fat and middle aged. But I'm open to suggestions. Anywho...

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations The one point I would raise is that Eddard Stark walked away from the battle with Arthur Dayne, so he couldnt have been a slouch, particularly with Ice. Ill grant though that we dont have a lot of info on what happened. I think he should be at least above Kevan Lannister IMHO ![]() I also notice Jon Snow isnt on the list. Now I know this would be highly debatable but he is the one who essentially took over weapons instruction on the wall. We know for a fact he's a more than capable swordsman.

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations Is Rhaegar not eligible because he wasn't actually alive for the books or was he just forgotten? If he's eligible I'd like to see him in this thing.

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations I thought that... is it Garland Tyrell? (Loras's brother) would be there instead of Loras. I remember Loras saying that Garland? was a better blade but that he was a better lance. I think it was when he and Sansa walked by Garland? training against 3 or so men

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations Boaz has an issue with something? Heaven forbid! I just wanted clarity on whether the tourney is at a specific moment in time or more of a mythical Hall of Fame tourney. I prefer the former, but it seems you are doing the latter. That's great! It's all good. It's all a "what if" so let's go all the way. My one other concern was to know how they start... Do they start five feet apart or one hundred yards apart? For example, if Anguy the archer (not on the list) was fighting Shagga at five feet, then Anguy's manhood would be quickly served to some swine. But if they started at one hundred yards, then Shagga's woolen and leather armor would not stand a chance against Anguy's arrows.

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations I just don't see how it's feasible to do a specific moment in time kind of tourney. Several of these people would be useless, if not dead. I really see the "Hall of Fame" tourney as the way to go. As far as a starting point for the challenges, I think we have to assume they've just become engaged in hand to hand combat. Alright, so I'll switch Kevan with Eddard, and Biter with Rhaegar.

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations Radomized the selections and this is what we ended up with: Bracket One Bronn vs Strong Belwas Jaime Lannister vs Mance Rayder Umber Greatjon vs Brynden Tully Rattleshirt vs Brienne Bracket Two Areo Hotah vs Sandor Clegane Arthur Dayne vs Euron Greyjoy Oberyn Martel vs The Magnar of Thenn Donal Noye vs Shagga Bracket Three Barristan Selmye vs Gregor Clegane Loras Tyrell vs Victarion Greyjoy Khal Drogo vs Stannis Baratheon Timmet vs Rhaegar T. Bracket Four The Halfhand vs Tormund Giantsbane Robert Baratheon vs Jaqen Hagar Syrio Forel vs Addam Marbrand Randall Tarly vs Eddard Stark I'll probably start off doing two matches at a time with a 4-5 window for voting.
