Then Wiggum you'll love what one of my customers said to me last night:

(And it was brought up in the context of your tourney)

The wildings are like the packers, you love em, you root for em , but in the end you know they will lose

Damn, where do you work? I wish people around here would share my nerdery. Those who do read are partial to romance novels and "Ya-ya Sisterhood" books.

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations

lol, WS.

This season is going to be another long one.

My girlfriend is a Bear's fan, I feel like I'm sleeping with a Lannister.

Go Badgers!

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations

No the Bears would be the Starks....married to the running game like the Starks are their honor. One brief shining moment (85 anyone?) then sucker punched with bad decisions that drive the franchise into insignificance.

The Lannisters would be the Cowboys....pretty and darling on the outside, with a stern leader (Twyin-Parcells) and a crazy front man (Cersei-Owens) and secretly undermining the fabric of society as we know it.

I think the Ironborn would be the Bills, so close so many times yet always willing to cut their own jugular as they attempt to gain the promised land.

Feel free to correct me

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations

Arya, I'm in the ever expanding "service industry", Tyrion would be calling for me to refill his cups

(And with all due respect to my friend, who has also posted on here, he introduced me to Martin)

And Aegon, the Bills are a good choice for the Greyjoys, but might I present and equally obvious, if not more so, NFC version... The Vikings perhaps?
15-1 seasons and no superbowls...(4 tries like the Bills too if i am correct) But i suppose the team name is a bit obvious Well that and the "Love Boat" incident.

Lannisters as Cowboys is perfect, maybe we can convince Mr. Jones to change their team colors to Red and Gold. (And Lannister Gold has equally bought the Yankees and Chelsea hehe)

Martell's were the Niners of the 80's.

I think the Umbers would be the Browns. Tough, hard nose fighters and lovers of a day of swilling beer, but a little light between the ears and in need of a little direction.

After revisiting this thread today, I had a thought...

The Frey's as the Raiders, consistantly mediocre and they play dirty

Re: Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations

I am European so that probably explains it...

You see though i love the game in movies when you see like 5 sec of it i hate it in real live, i mean it is soooo boring the dudes hardly score and they always take like 10 minutes to gain 10 measly yards, yeah such fun to look upon, it is just so damn slow and the gameplay is way too often interrupted.
Still it is better then baseball.(once again i love it in the movies) The never hit anything, it is all 0 all the time in that one with one ocaasional score.

Then i rather watch Soccer or tennis, IceHockey is fun though, i give you ppl that, too the canadians have probably invented that
