Re: Imperial Traitor Artwork That certainly is Tres Bien. Man, my French is terrible… How much control do you get over the cover of your books, Mark? Do you get to pick the artist, or chat to him about what you want? And do you get a copy of the original sent to you as a framed freebee? I think the Imperial Assassin cover would look great on a wall.

As for getting freebies - most definitely not! I've just negotiated to buy the original artwork for the Darkweaver Covers, the cheque for which will be in four figures. As I already paid a large four figure sum to commission the work in the first place, the pictures will have finished up costing me a very large sum of money indeed. Fantasy art is not cheap ... particularly when it's been produced by an author of Geoff Taylor's standard. Sadly, I'm unlikely to ever get the Imperial Assassin one on the wall - well not in the cover format anyway. It is actually two separate pieces of art superimposed. The assassin was painted separately, I'm told. | |

Re: Imperial Traitor Artwork Indeed, a very striking cover... and it complements the set very well! Quite moody, and with the panther in the title characters, it adds a nice contrast -- gives a visual tension that I think is very intriguing.

Re: Imperial Traitor Artwork Wow, the artwork looks great! It's very intriguing and colours really compliment each other. Geoff Taylor is a genius. It would definitely be a book I'd pick up even if I hadn't read the others.

Re: Imperial Traitor Artwork Thanks, everyone. I'm just drafting the last chapter now and a lot of it revolves around this chamber, so having such a great visual helps no end with the descriptions. I can only take my hat off to Geoff. I'm so glad that I've had the opportunity to have his artwork on my books - I'm sure that a lot of the casual sales I pick up will be down to his excellent artwork.
