| Kim and Paris in prison When the two are thrown into an Akritiri prison, they communticate with the alien prisoners just fine without their commbadges. I suppose you could claim that a universal translator was incorporated into the 'clamp' implant (but the Doctor analyses the device and mentions nothing of the sort). That whole prison system doesn't make sense to me. You either want to keep the people alive albeit incarcerated, in which case you must ensure they can't kill each other, or you want them dead in which case you execute them. But leaving them on their own and encourage them to act agressively with an implant...dubious. |

| Re: Kim and Paris in prison Perhaps it was a form of entertainment for them; in much the same way that people encourage dogs and fowl to fight each other. Or, perhaps, being an alien planet with an alien culture, their motives are just too far out of our realm of experience and ability to comprehend. |
