And if you look VERY closely at intermmitent episodes you will see that the gate dial and/or iris is superimposed optically - in mirror reverse!
[I was trying to draw all the glyphs, so was playing the DVDs on single frame for any shots with the gate in, hence my observation: the glyphs change direction, as do the iris "leaves" :blush: ]
And also, (saves starting a new thread): how come they can install a major assembly such as the iris (huge, complex, titanium) WITHIN the gate assembly itself with no sign of any motors or actuators, all within 24 hours, whilst they are on the Abydos jaunt collecting Daniel (and losing Sha're/Ska'ara). |
