| Madeleine L'Engle I have not seen anyone talking about Madeleine L'Engle. I was wondering if anyone on here liked her books and if they do what is there favorite book for hers. My favorite book by her is A Swiftly Tilting Planet I like how Charles Wallace's journey is talked about and the different times that he travels to. |

| Re: Madeleine L'Engle Madeline L'Engle is a great author. I've read the first quartet, A House Like Lotus, An Acceptable Time, and A Ring of Endless Light. The first book that I read was either A Wrinkle in Time or a Ring of Endless Light (back when I still read books (non mandatory) which were my 6th-8th grades). I can't really say as to having a favorite ONE book, but the series is one of my favorite book series. I've bought a few of the books and will eventually get the rest. I don't really know about age groups but the books do have content that would make people think. SPOILER??!!!: In A Ring of Endless Light, a young child dies in the arms of the main character (I think, or it might have been soon after...) near the end. Alia, just read the other thread, I saw online that A Wrinkle in Time was gonna be made a move (for ABC or something I think?). Didn't know it was really made; haven't seen it. I did see the Disney Channel one for A Ring of Endless Light though. Complete travesty. They disected it, cut out most of the important innards, and recreated it into a twisted creature for their own sick pleasure (profit, don't get me started on Disney...). |

There were books listed on there as part of the series that I have never heard of. Quote:
