| HELP! Mental Itch driving me MAD! hello there. first time poster here. i just had a very general, vague question for you all. maybe someone can answer it. i remember years ago back in middle school i read a scifi short story about two school children. everyone in that advanced age had memory chips to assist in long term memory and create more storage space for more memories. their teacher had abused the chip and erased a bad memory (his wife leaving him) so he could be happier in ignorance. the twist at the end is that the students were abusing their teach abominally the whole time, only to have done it themselves long ago, but they (obviously) couldn't remember it. does ANYONE know this story or who its by? thank you! cat |

| If you see a stranger... | Re: HELP! Mental Itch driving me MAD! Reminds me of the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - I think the screenplay writer took elements of a Philip K. Dick story..wait, let me look it up.....tick, tock...Hmmm- I can't find anything on this now. I thought I'd read it somewhere, but at least it's maybe a clue.. |

| Re: HELP! Mental Itch driving me MAD! It isn't ringing any bells for me at the moment, but I'll keep it in mind... (hmmm. considering the content here, that's a dubious promise....) In the meantime, welcome to the Chronicles, catmorgan |
