Wheel of Time

Any of you actually read the entire series? What do you think of it?

Re: Wheel of Time

Well no-one's read the entire series as it's not finished yet.

But I get your meaning - I actually stopped after book 10 and haven't read the latest one yet, which apparently is more of a return to form.

Basically my feelings are that the first two were pretty ordinary, books 3-5 were good, books 6-7 were ok but starting to grate and books 8-10 were pointless and did little to advance the story.

I may return to the series once it is completed just to "complete the journey" as it were.

Re: Wheel of Time

For me it became a bit Ho Hum after Book 7.

Still sticking with the series but a classic case of overextending the plot.

Re: Wheel of Time

Well, I've read them all. Once (or if) it is finished I'll probably re-read them just for continuity.

Re: Wheel of Time

I've read 1-10 twice and book 11 is a real improvement to 8-10.

Re: Wheel of Time

The first books were good but this story was just not long enough for 12 books and it is too bad the author never realized this before now.

I hope that the next book will come out soon:P who do you like to reed about if you only con chose by the main character? I don't know who I wold chose... probobly Mat Couton or Rand al'Thor.

Re: Wheel of Time

21 books seem too many for me... God, I've red 11 and I'm already tired of the series!

Re: Wheel of Time

I've only just started to read this series, and even though opinions seem to be divided, I think I'll stick with it. It's been a while since I read any sagas, and what I've read so far seems enjoyable enough.
