| Pain: the best teacher. | Re: Wheel of Time The first three I think were written to stand alone as a trilogy. he shoulda stopped there. havng said that I'm smeone who has read all of the 11 several times and enjoyed parts of all of them, they're good as sleeping tablets at times. |

| Causa Scientiae | Re: Wheel of Time I really disliked Book 11, I thought it was even worse than ten. Nine is saved by the end, but eight is where things really started going wrong... And why are 8, 9, 10 and 11 only two thirds the length of the first seven? It's incongruous, and none of them feel complete (except perhaps nine). In Book 10 only a fortnight or something passes in the story...! Once upon a time I absolutely adored this series, for all its flaws, but I feel really let down. For better or worse, it's become a part of me now, though... |
