This film needs to tie up all the loose ends. I'm at a disadvantage not having seen Season 9 yet, but from what I've heard the episode "The Truth" doesn't answer everything. BTW My Fanfic "Wyrm" answered some of the questions. As for the Mulder-Scully shippers -- they've had a baby, and Mulder has walked out on them. That seems to be about as final as you can get. We don't want them to get soppy again in a new film. Actually, I think you could have a film with Doggett and Reyes. I think they make a great team.

Dave, Mulder didnt walk out on them, she told him to go for everyones safety, and from what i know of The Truth He comes back but thats the only thing i know about that ep cos i promised myself i'd stay spoiler free for S9 and i wouldnt want for them to get soppy, they arent a soppy couple, never have been never will be etc etc, but just a little something in the way of a Shippy scene will do me fine ![]() And after seeing the first few eps of S9, i'm beginning to turn on my opinion that Doggett/Reyes shouldnt be in the movie. Maybe they should, but i cant see all four of them being in the movie - it'll get v.crowded dont ya think? And if it came down to a choice i'd rather Mulder/Scully be the pair in it than Doggett/Reyes. And about all the loose ends - CC will never tie up all of them, especially not in this movie most likely as there is the big possibility of there being a third movie depending on the success of this one. xxx:smokin:

Yes, it would get crowded with them all in. I really need to see all of S9 before I can comment more on this. But, I'm glad that a movie is likely and the X-Files won't end just yet. I also think a stand alone movie will be better. 'Fight the Future' is really stuck back in between seasons, and so much has happened since then.

I think a stand-alone movie is likely to draw in more crowds, especially ppl who dont necessarily watch the X-Files. Do you think the possiblity of larger crowds is part of the reason they decided to do a stand-alone movie instead of adding to the Myth-Arc? Its just a thought, as non-philes are far more likely to go see a horror/thriller movie such as a Stand-Alone might appear to be, than another myth-arc film like Fight The Future. I'll also have to watch the rest of S9 before i can comment further on some stuff about the movie ![]() xxx:smokin:

Yah i think they needed to do Fight The Future like they did because they chose to do it in between seasons they had to take continuity into account and everything like that. It was a story that needed doing at the time. And i think maybe because there are no future episodes to dictate what has to happen in this 2nd film, the writers have more leeway, they dont have to think about the next season, or answer a lot of questions like FTF (although all the questions havent been answered because thats not Carter's style of course). Is Carter going to concentrate more on making a horror movie, or i wonder if he's going to bring in Doggett and Reyes and delve further into their characters (and this could become a possibility if Duchovny, for whatever reason, is not in this second film). :fangs:xxx:smokin:

my guess is that with all the stuff that's gone on over the last 9 seasons only die hard X-Files fans would be able to make sense of a movie based on the mytharc. Therefore if they do a stand-alone type movie they can draw in more people and make more money. Besides, all that mytharc stuff tends to boggle even us hard-core fans after a while. And if they do a good MOW type story then it wouldn't bother me at all as long as Mulder was in it ![]()

Yeah, all that mytharc can be pretty confusing, and very hard to keep up with, so i guess its best for most if a good MoW was made. Have to be something pretty original though if CC wants to make an impression ![]() :fangs:xxx:smokin:
