Yeah, good luck with that. When we got the oldest of our four dogs at my house my parents swore that they were not going to give our puppy people food and that this dog was going to stay off the furnature and so on...

Our puppies look at us as if they are being mistreated if they do not have something extra in their bowls at dinner, they have their spots on the couch and they basically rule the house (they all also sleep on beds at night with people, very spoiled puppies)

Re: Northern Inuits.. my pup!

Don't spoil her too much though or she'll be a terror! My friend's puppy is really spoiled and she's like a horrible child! Tried to bite my face once when I told her no!
One day I will get a Northern Inuit, definately!! Thanks for bringing this breed to my attention. Or maybe not thanks?! My list of dogs is huge!

Re: Northern Inuits.. my pup!

Dont worry, Jess wil be very loved and cared for, maybe a bit spoiled with toys and attention but thats it.

Im also going to feed her as they do in the wild, im going to feed her the 'BARF' diet (biologically appropriate raw food.)
I have read alot about it online and it seems to do wonders for a dogs health.

I have made the mistake of treating a dog like a child before, I will not make it again, there is no way my hubby would let me!

I have read a few dog training manuels, and feel I am very aware of the dog 'psyche' and pack instinct/behaviour.

I too have a friend who got a pup, a Jack Russell, although he is very cute, he runs wild, and is not trained what so ever, he drives my friend round the bend, but it is her own fault, he needs training!
I have bought her a clicker and manuel but she hasnt read it...

Im definetly training my dog, she will be a star!

Im also going to put her up in the Northern Inuit yearly show in a year or two, I went to this years and feel my dog could definetly be in with a chance!
