Re: Northern Inuits.. my pup!

Very wolfie looking. I want one!!
I like the name Kavik best but Siku's good too. At least you're not going to go with some awful name like 'Fluffy' or 'Snoopy.' My dog's called Snoopy and I've never liked the name but as she's a rescue dog and that's what she was called when we got her we stuck to it. Suits her anyway really, and I suppose it's ok for a girl. She gets called Snoops anyway which is cute!
Still, Northern Inuit dog. I'll put that on my list. Along with Saluki, greyhound, doberman, chinese crested . . .

Re: Northern Inuits.. my pup!

I also have a huge list of dogs which I want, origionally I wanted a Border Collie but my partner wanted a Lurcher so we had a browse and both instantly fell in love with the Northern Inuit...

One thing is a Northern Inuit needs about 8 miles a day... luckily I have the time...

Im so excited

***bounces around the room gleefully***

Re: Northern Inuits.. my pup!

I think I have made my descition on the name, he will be called Siku (pronounced SEE-KU.)

I think 'lil puppy on the far left (of the origional picture) will be mine, he is so sweet, I cannot wait to go and see them in over a week, as soon as they open thier little eyes.

Apparently the little dark grey one I want is called donny darko at the min and he has all the good markings wanted in a stud dog and for the breed standard!

I have also been invited to a Northern Inuit Show at Alexandra Park in Manchester this Sunday (20th August) over 100 dogs will be there, anyone who can attened is welcome to come and see what stunning animals they are...

Re: Northern Inuits.. my pup!

I think you're really lucky getting one of those little fellas....I like stripey in the middle but they're all cool. Speaking of names...if you want something meaningful, noble and profound....my friend has a dog called "Mushroom"...I'm sure he won't mind if you follow suit.

Re: Northern Inuits.. my pup!

If I'm looking at the right pup, he looks like a "Larry" to me. Since you're the one who has to call him, I'll leave the final decision up to you. But… yeah, Larry.

Anybody ever see the brilliant animated short Still Life with Animated Dogs? A guy recounts his life through the dogs he's owned. It was fantastic. I cried and cried.

Re: Northern Inuits.. my pup!

I went to view the puppys last night, we chose a girl as I went to the Northern Inuit dog show on sunday and the boys grow to the size of a Great Dane and are very boistrous, with my condition there is no chance I could handle a male if he decided to be naughty.

Yet we have chosen the most beautiful girl, she will be the same colours as her mummy Sophie.

There were three girls, but one was already taken by Laura's (Sophies owner) sister.
There was our little girl and a pure white girl.

As for names we are nowhere near deciding yet.

We have chosen her kennel name, she will be Shadowlands Spirited Away.

I have some more pics for you to see.
