| Guesses for Book 7 (Assume **spoilers** for all previous 6 books!!) We've presumably all read books 1-6 by now. So - what do we think is going to happen in book 7? And/or title guesses too, since we're at it. For the even braver, how about some sort of rating of how likely their guess is: e.g. Hermione and Ron get it together (probable), Dumbledore reappears [see other threads for background] (possible), the book is called "HP and the Heir of Gryffindor" (guesswork) |

| Some of my thoughts: Probables: Harry ends up at Godric's Hollow Pettigrew's debt to Harry (POA) makes an important (life-saving?) re-apperance Possibles: Despite the end of HBP the school does re-open as usual "Prior Incantatem" happens again Harry, Ron or Hermione works out how to become an Animagus RAB is not Regulus Black |

And the last one's controversial There's a general acceptance floating around the internet that it could well be him. It's not like Jo to do something we expect though. It is possible that one or more of the trio dies...

What about Arabella Doreen Figg? Does she have some part to play? Why introduce her and then never develop it further?

There is also a "a heavy locket that none of them could open" found during the clean-out at 12 Grimauld Place (btw I've only just 'got' GrimOld place!) which matches the frequent description of Salazar Slytherin's locket, as "stolen" and sold by Merope Riddle nee Gaunt: "a heavy gold locket"

| Re: Guesses for Book 7 (Assume **spoilers** for all previous 6 books!!) Hi folks,i have a couple of guesses on book 7,firstly,Dumbledore may not be dead,he may just be playing dead,to lure Voldermort out into the open so he can take him out,he'll jump up with a 'gotcha',and slot him.Secondly i'm not convinced sirius is dead, not properly,if you cast your minds back to book 5,the manner in which he died is a little questionable, that portal he fell through at the moment of death,no body, nothing, that,to me,leaves it open somewhat.Icould be wrong on these points, but they do hold theoretical weight,to me at least. |

| Re: Guesses for Book 7 (Assume **spoilers** for all previous 6 books!!) My thoughts: Dumbledore is dead. (This has in fact been proved by JKR) Harry will find some way of contacting Sirius. Lupin will have a greater role. Hagrid will die. As will one of the Weasley twins. Harry will not. Snape will save Harry. Peter Pettigrew will redeem himself. RAB is Regulus Black. Dementors will kiss Voldemort. The Wand man (can't recall his name at the moment), who was 'missing' in book 6, is in hiding with the Order. Last edited by MJRevell; 9th September 2006 at 02:02 AM. |

Not mathematically... If based on the book contents, this could be a reasonably well used plot device, as mentioned above, to lure out Voldemort. There's an entire thread or two about it somewhere around. If based on interviews, it could still be a bluff, to not give away such a major plot point. Or it could be true, but is it "proof"? The only way to know for sure will be to read book 7.

| Re: Guesses for Book 7 (Assume **spoilers** for all previous 6 books!!) Mr Olivander is the wandmaker. As for what will happen in Book 7 well... JK has already confirmed that someone will die whom she didn't originally plan to die, I think this is Ron or Hermione. I'm hoping Harry can contact Sirius, there's more to that curtain than meets the eye. Dumbledore is most certainly dead but Snape is still good pretending to be bad pretending to be good and will lead the rest of the Order to Voldemort. Something wonderful will happen with Longbottom, he will play a big part in saving the day. Harry will die, I've accepted this as fact. He will die along with Voldemort, it's the only way that Voldemort can go completely. xx |

| Re: Guesses for Book 7 (Assume **spoilers** for all previous 6 books!!) Horcrux is in book 6: it is the name given to any otherwise everyday object in which a part of a witch or wizard's soul is stored, their soul having been split in two by a massively evil act such as murder, and otherwise the shriven part of the soul just goes away somewhere. Voldemort is unlikely to become good: as per the prophecy, neither can survive whilst the other lives. Hasn't JKR been pretty clear: one (or both) has to die at the end? |
