Re: Guesses for Book 7 (Assume **spoilers** for all previous 6 books!!)

I want to believe Snape is a good guy. He's one of my favorite characters, and I will be broken if he turns out to be a merciless murderer.

I do, however, believe Dumbledore to be dead. His portrait may offer Harry and the others help, but I'm pretty sure we won't see a corporeal Dumbledore again. I also think he knew of his outcome before it happened and Snape's role was requested to keep Malfoy from doing it. The question is, Why?

because harry needed someone on the inside. even though he hates snape lol

if snape was evil then how can harry possibly kill voldemort?

i see snape as a very powerful wizard and is he is on side with voldemort then harry wont have a chance in hell. even with the order behind him.

snape is good

Thank God! I thought I was alone for thinking Snape was good. All my friends hate his guts because he killed Dumbledore and wouldn't listen to me when I defended Snape. *Goes on knees* I'm not alone!

Okay, I'll just run away now. *Runs away*

I think if snape turns out to be evil then all the previous books will fall apart when you go back to read them. If, however, he is good:
He will dislike Harry because he sees so much of his father in him
He will nevertheless realize Harry is his best hope of defeating Voldemort before he brings chaos on earth
He will agree to Dumbledore's plans for the defeat of Voldemort, since Dumbledore is a master tactician (hence his title as warlock or whatever), and accepts that Dumbledore has the right to factor either of their deaths into any plan.
Snape is far to intelligent to side with a man who will eventually see him as a threat and eliminate him. He doesn't have to be all puppy hugging and smiley to be on the side of good.

Hmm you got a point.

I heard somewhere that some characters that J.K Rowling thought would live didn't survive. Any guesses who would die in the last book? I'm thinking maybe Ron or Hermoine, although its a heartbreaker; its possible.

Hello i do not have time to read all the posts but i am a very big fan of Harry Potter (was that ment to be in red ?). Although i would hope for all the trio to survive and live a happy life, i have noticed that as the trio get older the storyline gets thicker and a lot darker. In interviews with JK Rowling she has said we will more about Voldemort and about Harry's parents, mainly Lilly Potter. I am hoping in the 7th book there will be more information about Severus and also Peter Petigrew (Wormtail) but these may not happen.

well voldy doesnt now that harry is a horcrux as he got "killed" when the spell backfired dint he, so he doesnt know. as as for destroying his own horcrux, i think its possible as suicide does exist.

If it WERE Hollows then it would presumably be related to Godric's Hollow. But since it's Hallows...

Re: Guesses for Book 7 (Assume **spoilers** for all previous 6 books!!)

I think I heard somewhere around here that hallows are holy or sacred ground, so it could be 'holy' in Voldemort's eyes in that it's important to him. (I'm paraphrasing from another post here, apologys).

I think that perhaps Godric's Hollow (that's where the Potter's lived, wasn't it? It's been a while since I've read all the books) will be important. I think it's the word "Hallows" that makes me think this, for some reason.

Apparently we find out something important about Lily, but I swear that was reputed back when book five was about to be released or something, and all we found out was that she hated James before she started liking him.

Also, one of the characters apparently becomes a teacher at Hogwarts after everything is over and done with. As I've said around here, my first guess was Hermione, but perhaps it could be someone else, even someone like Neville (herbology), or maybe even an older character. *Shrugs* Anyway, enough with the guessing, we'll find out anon (well, perhaps not anon, more like a few months!)

One last thing...I think that Ron and Hermione will finally get together. I believe this is a very real possibility (especially after all the hints of such throughout the books) Either this will happen and one of them will be killed, so that there is a tender, tear-jerking moment between them as one lies in the others arms, OR they'll keep avoiding the inevitable until one is on their deathbed, and then they'll finally admitt it.

Anyway, these are just my ideas, of course! All we can do is wait until the final book comes out (Of which I am glad, finally it's coming to an end!)

Oh sorry I have been reading Hollows. Ooops. Now that is new to me. I'm stuck now. I wish the book would come out already. Then I could go back to normal life. Although I proberly would miss Harry Potter then.

true true, itll be a cliche if they admit on the death bed wont it though.
i hope youre right, itll be something like harry's fight voldy and the killing curse get reflected and hits hermy while she and ron are kissing or summit. she dies, ron gets spurred into a lovelost rage, stabs voldy from behind, destracting him enuff for harry to blow him up or summit crap like that
