SG-1 finds a Goa'uld-Human hybrid in stasis in an abandoned Goa'uld lab and take it back to Earth to study, where they learn it was created using Anubis' DNA.

This was a good episode, Khalek story and how he have goaul'd and human dna was interesting.

Yes it was interesting. Although using Anubis and the threat of khalek becoming another ascended Anubis is yet another distraction from the Ori.

As usual the storyline showed the team floundering about in the unknown, add a bit of a moral dilemma for Daniel oh and add financial pressure from the international committee etc and the SGC looks in bad shape indeed.

So said villian becomes unstoppable but not to worry as we all knew Sam would of rigged up some form of safety mechanism "just in case" he became godlike.

Now when the gate dialled in if a squad of Ori missionaries came through kicking butt I would of been impressed but no, back came the baddie and he got shot to bits.

End of story (until they find another lab, probably season 12 episode 10)

Entertaining yes, good SG1 fun NO!!

It was a bit more exciting, I'll give you that, but the plots are still very stale. I watch Stargate with my son now and I'll give you an example of what I mean:

I was explaining about his telekinetic powers and how the chemical in the tube was inhibiting them.

"Oh! Like the Force in Star Wars!" - "yes, but Star Wars didn't invent that!"

On the way he held up his hand as he pushed the people against the wall:

"I saw that in an old Star Trek I was watching" - "really" - I was stumped at this at first, but then remembered 'Charlie X'...

On the bullets stopping: "I've seen this before too!" - "The Matrix" - "Yes, that was it!"

If a 9 year old can spot this, then I think the writing staff certainly have a huge problem.

I, personally just didn't like the ending. I thought he had escaped, and why not let him! He would have been a great new enemy. Having Sam connect the dialer to return to Earth instead, but not tell anyone - that was the most contrived part of the whole Season.

This Season is sort of the 'Daniel Jackson show' though, and the International Committee aspect just doesn't work for me either.

I hate to say it, but Stargate SG-1 is beginning to bore me. I find 'The 4400' and 'Lost' much more interesting these days.
