To go direct to the site http://www.badwolf.org.uk/ or click on the Tardis on the official Dr Who website (the words Bad Wolf will appear on hover).

Basicaly there has been references to Bad Wolf throughout the series and this hidden site lists a few, lists references to Bad Wolf in ancient mythologies, stories and pop culture and throws up a few theories to what is at the core of the subtle back story underlying the entirity of season 27.

The clues so far

OK, the Bad Wolf site lists a few but not one for episode one at all, anyone spot a reference there, I've added in the couple I know for sure but anyone got any additional clues?

Episode Two: The End of the World
The Moxx of Balhoon tells the Face of Boe that being trapped on the exploding Platform One is "the classic Bad Wolf scenario..."

The Earth Blows up, the wolf blown the house down perhaps, which was down to financial reasons, funding for preservation having run out.

Episode Three: The Unquiet Dead
Gwyneth the parlour maid looks into Rose's mind and sees "The Big Bad Wolf"

It's winter, perhaps a reference the the Norse story of the Fenrir

The GELF want to possess human bodies, the wolf in sheeps clothing analagy again.

Episodes Four and Five: Aliens of London
A child graffiti's "Bad Wolf" onto the side of the TARDIS

The Fake alien was a Geneticaly modified Pig

The Bad guys are disguised within the skins of Good guys (OK pushing it a bit on the good guy/sheep bit as they were politicians and such like, lol)

The plan to blow up the Earth for financial gain, that blow the house down bit again.

Episode Six: Dalek
Eccentric billionaire Henry van Statten's has the security call sign "Bad Wolf One", note also the financial aspect of this episode too, as in cashing in on alien tech.

Episode Seven: The Long Game
In the year 200,000 there's a TV channel called BadwolfTV, note that a financial consortium is behind the whole thing.

Episode Eight: Father's Day
"Bad Wolf" is scrawled across a 1980s club poster

Episodes Nine and Ten: The Empty Child
The missile about to land on the Chula spaceship has "Schlechter Wolf" written on it, financial gain behind the whole thing again this time Jack's con results in the problems.

Episode Eleven: Boom Town
The nuclear power station about to destroy Cardiff is called "Blaidd Drwg".

Ends with 3 good guys (The 3 pigs perhaps) with the bad guy (The wolf as she's Slitheen, see above) in the Tardis (Which looks like a wooden box so house of sticks reference)

Additional points, the 'Time War' is heavily mentioned in multiple episodes (The Gelf, the Death of the Time Lords and the Daleks being examples).

Note how many times the Dr is compared to a bad guy/killer (Mickey saying that the Dr is listed all over the net with a list of the dead, the Dalek stating he'd make a good Dalek, Rose stating the Jack, a con man and the cause of all the probs, was just like the Dr just with romance, and the Dinner date being accused by the Slitheen as being a killer).

Why does the Dr keep calling Mickey Ricky, at one point even stating he's so thick he doesn't even know his own name.

What about the Brit dropped off at home with an alien chip in his head from the future which could contain the entire human history etc.

Captain Jack had 2yrs memory wiped, if he the next Doctor and had the memory of this time frame (as in the episodes we've seen) from the point of the supposed Dalek/Time lord wipe out up till the conclusion of the season wiped from his memory? What of these time agents.

Where did the alien Tech the slitheen major had come from, was it part of Jack's ship as he seemed to know a lot about it.

All very interesting, thanks for sharing. I thought that site was your own, but I see now that it is a secret site via the official BBC one.

Do you think that the 'Time Agents' to which Jack once belonged are the same as the 'Space Security Agents' who appeared in 'first Doctor' episodes? Sara Kingdom and her brother, Bret Vyon, were both agents and aided the Doctor in trying to defeat the Daleks, though Sara was originally sent to kill him.

I was probably only about five when I watched those episodes, so I can't remember too much, but Russell T Davies is a 'Doctor Who' buff and I get the idea that he might want to throw in some references like that. Also, from the trailer, the Daleks are going to make an appearance, and this Dalek-Time Lord War was mentioned again.

I think the memory wipe will be relevant too.

Don't remember back that far, probably before my time but yeh, Russel has always been a huge fan with vast knowledge of the shows so quite possibly and I certainly think the lost 2yrs is of importance or why else throw it in in a series which seems to have had so much attention to detail. One theory of mine is..... that Jack could be the next Doctor, but probably not

I've absolutely loved this series, Dr who was a major part of my childhood and probably the first TV show I can remember, certainly the first Sci-Fi and the family watched it without fail butr until this series I would never have called my self a fan, never considered buying the series DVD but certainly gonna be getting my hands on the box set when it comes out

As to the trailor, I had to laugh at the TV show references, especialy the Big Brother rip off, and I found out on my searching that the host of the weakest link rip off is Anne Droid which led to another chuckle, so much humour in the show yet depth and darkness at the same time, who cares the special effects don't stand up against the modern Trek's etc with writing this good

Knowing all this Bad Wolf stuff now am I the only one who wondered about Mickey having a coat with grey fur in Boom Town, interesting thing to throw in but just as likely to be a red herring as anything to do with the Bad Wolf plot thread. I did notice a LOT of references to GOD's and add in the thunder and lightning it draws you towards the Norse Tales of the Fenrir.

Anyways I'm waffling an in major danger of over anylising everything so signing off for now

On the re-occurance of the numbers 23, 8, 801 - they were hymns in the church and buses on the bus stop outside - I wondered if it might be a date, that is the British way of writing the date. Only I can't find anything of importance that happened on 23 Aug 801 or even 23 Aug 1801.

Russell T Davies is quoted in Doctor Who Magazine issue 357: “It’s not the master. It’s not the Celestial Toymaker either, or Fenric, before you ask. .....There are thousands of Daleks in it.”
