| Sith Given it's Rating REVENGE OF THE SITH is to be rated in America as PG-13 for “sci-fi violence and some intense images.” That is the news according to 'Ain't it Cool'. Lucas has already hinted at this being a much darker film, and he said it wasn't something he thought you could take a 6-year-old along too. So, really I was expecting a UK 12A rating. I remember when 'Spider-man' came out. It was initially rated as a 12, but just then they introduced 12A ratings in the UK and it was changed in the week of showing it. How you can make a 'Star Wars' film or a 'Spiderman' film and not alllow 8 or 9-year-old kids in to see it amazes me. Also, 'The Empire Strikes Back' is fairly dark. The Emperor is always fairly evil and menacing. The sequences in 'Return of the Jedi' with Luke, the Emperor and Vader are fairly "intense"! Can 'Revenge of the Sith' have "more intense images" than that? I'm sure it can have more "sci-fi violence", but that is normal for films today. It can't be worse than the game 'Star Wars: Battlefront'. |
