| BBC Goes into Doctor Who Overdrive! To coincide with the release of the New Doctor, the whole of the BBC is going into major nostalga mode. Ignoring the usual UKTVGold (BBC under a different name) rerun of the one DW story they have access to. 19th March BBC2 is howing probably the best of the Doctor Who films, Doctor Who and the Daleks. Followed shortly after by a documentary, The Story of Doctor Who. The last should not to be confused with UKTVGold's The Doctor Who Story which takes up most of the following Saturday with episodes and stories from the archives going right back to William Hartnell. Starting at 8:00 AM it finishes just in time for the first new episode at 7:00 PM on BBC2! When the new episode is over, simply switch to BBC3 and watch the documentary 'Doctor Who Confidential' Just a tad of overkill, but I daresay some Whovian nerds will sit through the whole sheebang! |

| BBC Radio 2 also has a number of programmes on Doctor Who, one presented by Patrick Stewart. The Steve Wright in the Afternoon show will have a special set of Doctor Who 'Factoids' ~ if you've never listened to the show, they are weird but true facts that are read out every day. And BBC 2 TV is showing a special edition of Doctor Who Mastermind with the prize presented by Christopher Eccleston. |
